What you should probably never ask your Child!

I was sitting on the couch tonight, kicking back (resting, as I've been a bit sick).

The man of the house (dad) was parked on the other couch.

My little man Tom (4) he was standing next to me, and was contemplating sitting next to me, and, well maybe because he was standing closer to me, and maybe because of that I thought he'd pick me, I said................

"Hey come sit with the one you loved the most"

His response "What, what do you mean?"

So I've always been trained in the workplace, when someone doesn't understand, rephrase!  So that is what I did.

I asked him "Who do you love the most, mum or dad?"

"mmmmmmmmmmmmm"  he pondered

Then as he shrugged his shoulders he responded "but...... I love you both"

So we put him out of his state of confusion and said "right answer"  and asked for a high five!

OK so perhaps we shouldn't have asked the question, we know he loves us both, and we wouldn't have held it against him if he had of picked.  

But what a little winner, this is a little man that is totally in touch with his emotions and is not afraid to share it.
