Today is a new day.
I'm starting over
I've joined back at the gym.
I've signed up for my next Fun Run.
It's a done deal, I'm getting fit.........again.
I know I'm probably back at square one, but I never quit, I never stopped, I just had time out, for sickness, that got a little strung out.
I haven't actually run since I did the City2Surf on 14th August.
I still have time to reach my goal of 'Run 5kms without Stopping' within a year.
So today I signed up for the Gym, tomorrow I'll go back for my first workout.
1 hours on the treadmill.
Wish me luck!
What does all this mean? I'm extremely grateful for exercise, the adrenalin that comes with achievement. The opportunity to never give up and the forgiveness that comes from myself with starting over.
So, what are you grateful for this weekend?
I'm linking up with Maxabella Loves.
Cheers

good luck - you can do it! i personally am not very good at running .. more of a yoga person. but go for it! x
ReplyDeleteGood luck with it! Hope it feels good to be back at the gym, and that it gives you a feeling of strength and goodness!
ReplyDeleteOhh goodluck!!! Good on you!
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff!
ReplyDeleteYou're not at square one - and your progress will be fantastic.
The body remembers what to do and how good it feels to do it.
Enjoy!
:-)
Good luck you!! You'll be great. I can tell my reading your blog that you'll do it. Yay you.
ReplyDeleteI took a 4 1/2 month break from the gym (started with injury, then illness, school holidays and so one). I started back and am only getting there 2 days a week so far and yes my fitness is much lower, but you will find you will get back faster than before.
ReplyDeleteGood luck - i finally achieved the 5km on the treadmill ONCE before the break and could not walk for 2 days LOL
Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI need to get back into running on my treadmill! I felt so good after I did it. Its just the motivation to get started!
