Food Patrol 90 Day Challenge: My Lifestyle took Priority this week....


I'm just going to say it, I didn't lose any weight this week. Nothing, zilch!

I'm kinda OK with this, kinda not really.

Weighing in at 61kg I still have 3kg to lose so I really need to push this thing, but we had a big week planned and to be honest I just wanted to enjoy myself without having to think about it.

Drinking is my weakness.  I like to drink, especially this time of the year.

I did opt to drink low carb beer and bourborn with coke zero, to help reduce the impact.

So whilst I didn't go out binge eating or anything I wasn't focused on reducing those last few kilos.

I guess I was having one of those '90 days is a long time weeks'.  I didn't want to spend the whole of January, February, March turning (my idea) of fun down, because I was on a challenge.

I'm still on this challenge and focused very much so, I just need to indulge along the way.

Do you think I should have stuck to the plan 100% or do you think it's best to enjoy yourself ocassionally along the way? Be honest, I can handle it.

  1. I'm well aware that you don't need alcohol to have fun or enjoy yourself - but ninety days IS a long time. I love a social drink - especially in the Summer months.
    You made a choice that didn't hurt anyone, knowing the consequences and you're happy to 'wear' them - so to speak!
    I think that's what being a grown-up is all about!

  2. I think it's ok to indulge once in a while. As they say, all is good in moderation.
    I am about to start the Food Patrol 90 Day Challenge (I won a starter pack from MM at And Then There Were Four). I am looking forward to some simpler food intake, I feel like I need a cleanse. That and the fact that i want to lose weight for my sisters wedding later this year.
    Sounds like you are doing pretty well! Congrats!

  3. My thing is that I find it hard to get back on track once I stray. I have total control until I just don't. I have to say 'no' and stick to the 90 program or else it will all be over. I want this too much to give in. I will face this in a couple of weeks when my hubby and I go to Bali. I TOTALLY don't want to 'diet' when on holidays but if I let myself go too much I don't think I will find my way back. What are your thoughts on that? How are you going this week???

    1. I know what you mean. I've definitely mastered the whole snack thing, it's just sticking to the set meals. I'm doing ok. But I have been given a 7 day challenge for next week that I'm going to stick to 100% to try and help me kick start things again.
      It's hard, you're on holidays. I'd probably try and avoid crap but not get hung up on what you can and can't eat at meal times.
