She's well and truly made her mark on School!

This week, Lulu started school.

It's been a long time coming, she turned 6 last month.

And she's ready

The first few days I would ask her how her day went, you know "what did you learn' - "can't remember"

"Did you make some new friends" - "Yeap"

Any further information .... nope nothing.

Then yesterday, it was a little different.

As we were leaving from the playground after school, her teacher grabbed me and said, "When you've got a minute, not right now, maybe in the morning, I want to share with you Olivia's work from today, we did some work on Families"

"No problems tomorrow morning" I said.

I just knew where this was going, she was going to embarrass me for sure!

On the way home I probed her, I asked her what she did today when they were talking about families.

She rambles on "We had to draw a picture of our family, I drew my family in the nude"

OMG only my daughter I tell you, only my daughter.

She thought it was bloody hilarious, Rod's first concern was whether it would be to scale or not!

So it's fair to say, the teacher knows us pretty well now.

Tell me I'm not the only one totally embarrassed by their child at school.

Cheers

Mandy

  4. OMG that is too funny. Thank goodness the teacher has a sense of humour. My little one met with the priest yesterday as we are enrolling him in catholic kindy next year. He needed to do a wee and when the priest showed him the toilet he yelled really loudly "that's Yuk"- he meant the toilet duck but the priest thought he meant the toilet in general- so embarrassing. Kids are the best for that :-)

  5. Oh my! That certainly is very cringe worthy! Good thing the teacher had a sense of humor though! I don't think mine have said anything to embarrass us. Yet...

    1. Because I probed her I wasn't shocked, if nothing else. We just had a laugh together. She said it was for the classic files and asked if I wanted a copy. Of course I did, she's never living this one down. lol.

  11. Ohh how funny! Pretty sure that's got to be the best introduction to a family that teacher's ever had! I love the little story that's included.
I can imagine my Ellie doing something like this once she's at school.

  12. I understand!! Our son was incredibly specific in his drawing of people & it dawned on me, that if he went to school continuing that we "may be" looked at strangely. Remember we are teachers too!! So, we had to teach him " please remember to put clothes on your people when you draw them" I must remind him of this, seeing his son starts school next year!
    Your daughter looks angelic;-)

    1. I know she looks angelic, but we all know looks can be deceiving. lol. I know, in the nature of 'it's ok' I said to her 'it's fine if you want to draw people in the nude, it's probably best though if you save those pictures for at home, not school'. Will be interesting to see if she comes up with anything else quite this interesting / funny!
