This craft all came because Lulu has a new little buddy in prep and he made her this gorgeous picture.
She probed as to how he did it and it got me thinking, she'd love this activity, but how could I put another spin on it.
Enter Cello Style Easter Eggs
I created a picture of an egg. Just an out line.
I pre-cut it.
Then we folded it in half vertical.
Following this, she cut out some shapes. The purpose of the fold is then evident as the shapes are mirrored on both sides.
We cut out bits of coloured cello (you may prefer to do this at 'setup')
To adhere the cello to the egg, we rolled glue across one whole side of the egg and stuck down bits of cello ensuring they covered all gaps.
Allow 10 minutes to dry and then laminate to seal.
Stuck on the window (or sliding door in our case), the eggs act in the same way as a lead light, illuminating as the sun shines through.
And don't assume if you've got a little one that they can't do 'something'. Zander was in his element working away on his very own masterpiece.

Great idea making this with Easter eggs shapes...I love it! Zac and Alex (and Oscar too) will be up for this for sure.
