I've now completed 8 weeks of my 90 day challenge. I am on the home stretch.
I WILL reach my target of 58kg.
I've been chatting with Rhys from Food Patrol. He is my 'support person'.
When I have struggled, he acknowledged that because my goal is 10 kilos and not more it can sometimes be disappointing when you don't get big losses.
I don't know if this is entirely the case for me. I know a small loss each week is the right way to go about this. I know this will help me to 'keep it off'.
I think the greatest challenge for me has been the social side. I can skip dessert, I no longer need snacks or junk food, but it's the drinking over the summer that has been my weakness. It is that, which at times has left me feeling like 90 days is a long time.
But the reality is, this is a 90 day challenge, but a life long change in life style.
I know I'm going to be alright.
I was tired, exhausted, lacking motivation this week, in all aspects of my life. I didn't get to the gym at all, but for some reason I still managed to have a loss.
This week I weighed in: 60.5kg
Starting weight: 67.8kg
End wk 1: 63.4kg
End wk 2: 62.9kg
End wk 3: 62.4kg
End wk 4: 61.8kg
End wk 1: 63.4kg
End wk 2: 62.9kg
End wk 3: 62.4kg
End wk 4: 61.8kg
End wk 5: 61.3kg
End wk 6: 61kg
End wk 7: 61kg
To help push me over the line Rhys has emailed me a '7 Day Challenge' a mini challenge if you will to help me re focus, go that extra mile.
It tells me exactly what to eat. It tells me when I should exercise to get the maximum results.
I am going to do this challenge over the next week. Unfortunately I won't be able to exercise as much as desired, 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. With 3 children and a string of commitments, time just doesn't permit.
But I will get to the gym, every day. That is much more than I've achieved lately.
I'm so grateful to have stumbled across Food Patrol. When I started out I had struggled for over a year to 'shed the baby weight' and now my 10 kilo weight loss goal is within reach.
Cheers
Mandy

I feel the fifties approaching - keep it up!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope the 7 day challenge gives you a bit of a boost.
:-) x
How exciting! I am about to start the challenge too. Looking forward to shedding the extra weight!!
ReplyDeleteWhoo hoo good luck.
DeleteWell done - i have struggled all along as Rhys said - my needed loss was not huge so it was very slow. I have finally lost 11 out of the 17 pounds i was trying to lose (so have about 2 1/2 kgs to go). When people have 40-50kgs to lose they get that initial boost from seeing big losses, but i guess i can't complain as at least i was never as big as that. Going to the gym every day is huge to me so good on you!
ReplyDeleteYou're such an inspiration. Don't give up! As a mum, it's amazing to me how you've stuck at it for all these weeks.... keep going- your goal is in sight!!! Andie:)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant effort Mandy! You can do it! Xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Mandy! To lose that much in 7 weeks is awesome. Just remember- even if you don't get to your target of 58 kilos (which is a very low number by the way!), I think continued eating and exercising as you are now will slowly get the weight off, and keep it off.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are well on the way to your goal. The last few kgs are definitely the hardest! I will be interested in how your 'mini-challenge' goes. I must touch base with Rhys again - I have been slack and notice that I am falling off the perch a little... Right here with you x
