Talking about education.......
Today Lulu got an award at assembly. The awards are called 'Habits of the Mind Awards' and Lulu has been anxiously waiting week in week out for her name to be called.
Today after a tough few weeks, it was her day.
She got an award for 'Persistence'
The best part of the day for me was this comment from Lulu on our way home from school.
"I was so excited today when I got to go up onto the stage, I almost cried. I was just so proud of myself"
I love this. I love that the experience (which all the kids get to experience one week or another) means so much to her that it almost bought her to tears.
As a parent you have to ride the lows, but it's just so enjoyable to be able to ride the highs. Both Rodney and I made sure we were there today to cheer her on.
