It was my stepping stone into my internet presence, if you will.
I have a passion for travel and the idea that it shouldn't stop because you have kids. Unfortunately for me I am at a bit of a standstill at the moment, not because we have children, simply because we don't have the budget.
Doesn't stop me dreaming and doesn't stop me thinking about all the wonderful ways to make travel with kids easier / better / fun.
We travel often by car to visit family, 3, 4 sometimes 10 hours.
We have all the gadgets. The older kids have DSi's, they have portable DVD players and recently I bought an iPad which cops a hiding.
However sometimes it's nice to get back to basics. We often play eye spy and guess who (I am).
But this week I discovered Spot What.
Have you heard of them?
It's a range of books by Hinkler Books where you have to find items on each page. Think Where's Wally but with way better graphics.
I was delighted not only on discovering this range, but also discovering they had a 'travel book'.
This is perfect for in the car, on the plane and even if you're not travelling any time soon, this book is perfect for out at a restaurant. I'm always looking for distractions to keep them sitting at the table.
Can't wait to pull this baby out on our next getaway.
What's your one 'hot tip' for travelling with kids?
Cheers
Mandy.
Disclosure: this is not a sponsored post, I'm writing about this book because I like it!

ooooooooooh that looks like something Boo would like!
ReplyDeleteThat looks great - I like something for a restaurant that doesn't involve technology. For travel, can't go past the portable DVD player!
