Look a like

Zander, we call him unique, but in actual fact this is far from the truth.

People look at him, he draws attention where ever we go, that hair, so bright, so wild.

But he is a look a like.

It's hard to see.

Strangers always ask "Were your other two like that when they were younger?"

I answer "No"

"Where ever does he get his looks from?"  undoubtedly is the next question.

Zander is most definitely his fathers son.

Look a like?

No doubt about it is there?

Hair, smile, I can only imagine personality!

My other two children we say "are their own people"  we both honestly don't believe they look particularly like either of us.

But not my Zander, I feel like I know exactly what he is going to look like as he grows over the next 10-20 years.  My little look a like.

How does the gene pool feature in your family?  Have you produced a look a like?  Or do you look at your own children in amazement wondering where they get their looks from?

Cheers

Mandy.

  1. Oh wow, I can def see he his father now! Amazing! I don't think either of my girls look like me but there is a funny similarity that I feel with no. 2- I think she takes after my side a bit more. It's funny how other people think they are little mini me's!

  2. Oh I have two white blonde boys... my older boy has a head full of white curls when he was a toddler and oh how much attention does that hair get????
My twin girls are their father's daughters... they look just like their Aunt did at their age. My middle boy is all my family, but our little one... I often look at him and wonder where he came from!

  3. I look at my kids and think 'are you sure you gave birth to them?' They are all so much like their dad; I barely got a look in!
Personailty wise though; my girls are me all over.

Zander really is a spitting image isn't he?
    Plus, how cute!

  4. My Lulu and I have the same personality. But then she was born 2 days after my birthday so being the same star sign and all, probably inevitable. People look at my hubby now and when I say Zander looks like him they just can't see it. But there is no denying it. Genes really are a funny thing.

  5. That is very gorgeous! What a cutie.

My boys are all a mix of me and hubby with random family members chucked in for fun. There's no doubt about where they all come from!

  6. Oh wow....he is certainly a look a like! Such a cutie!

My 3 girls all have the same shaped eyes from their Dad but everything else is different about them. I have one that is blue eyes and blonde hair, then dark brown hair with dark chocolate brown eyes and then my littlest has the most curliest light brown hair and light brown eyes. I have a real mix but all with the same shaped eyes. :)

  7. Oh - he's such a gorgeous cutie too.

    I love genetics!
    It intrigues me.
I used to be blown away by some of my students uncanny resemblance to their parents.
Until I gave birth to my very own mini-me!!!
My Magoo is all my side - he's the spitting image of my little brother.
    Scarily so.
Poor Hubby's beautiful olive skin and darker features didn't get a look in.

At the moment, I dream that this little girl will come into the world looking like Hubby's side - and nothing like her brother or I.
    :-) x
