Mothers Day is almost upon us and this is the last of my Mothers Day Series.
Sportscraft have teamed up with seven inspirational mums to talk motherhood. You know, the challenges, the rewards, everything.
I love that there is such a broad range of mothers in this clip, the mothers with years and years of experience, right down to the new.
As I watched this there were so many ah-huh moments for me.
Like when Trish Fallon described motherhood as 'relentless' and in the next shot Kristy Hinzes describes it as 'amazing'. I think most of us can relate to this and would agree that it's possible to feel both those emotions even on the same day.
My favourite comment from the whole clip was this:
"You don't sweat the small stuff anymore, everything else becomes so insignificant"
Regardless of whether you're a working mum, a SAHM, regardless of if you have one child or many, this comment shares the one trait that unites us all. Being a mother turns that life you once led on it's head, in a good way. Priority are no longer the same.
I've made it no secret that I battle with finding balance in my life and it was reassuring to know that I'm not along. I loved and will take these pieces of advice:
~ Find a balance, finding how to really honour who you are and be a great mum.
~ You just have to learn with them (your children)
I don't have any plans for Mothers Day this year. I will just wait and see what the day brings. I do know that it will be spent with the ones I love and that is what is important.
If you're still unsure what to get your mother (or what you'd like) for Mothers Day, why not check out the Mothers Day Catalogue at Sportscraft and see what these inspirational mothers are loving right now.
To all the Mothers out there, I hope this Sunday is a good one!
Cheers
Mandy
