Giveaway: Let's start talking Christmas!

This giveaway has been extended till 29th June.
Sponsored Post

Anyone that reads this blog or knows me IRL knows I like to be organised.  It's my son's birthday in July, his presents are already up in the top of the cupboard ready to go.  Yeap that's me!

So it's about this time of the year I start to think about Christmas.  I know it's ages away, but I like to start my plan of attack.

Next month Big W will hold it's annual toy sale and for me this is the perfect time to get started on the Christmas shopping.

I also really appreciate the opportunity to layby for Christmas, insuring no 'sneaky peaky' action can be had.

I've already started to get some ideas, just check out the Big W Toys Section of their website.

From the top left hand corner, clockwise:

Wild Science Ant Jungle

Wii Glee Karaoke Revolution Volume 3 and Microphone Bundle

Nintendo DSi XL Console

Crayola Creations Secret Diary and Scrapbook Bundle

Deluxe Checkout Supermarket - Bonus Shopping Basket with Play Food

Lego Design Studio

Lego Duplo Fun With Bricks 4627

Barbie William And Catherine Royal Wedding Giftset

Now it's your turn.  To help you get a head start on the Big W Toy Sale, A Little Space like Home in conjunction with Big W is giving away a $100 gift card for you to spend at the Toy Sale.

To enter:

# Visit the Big W Facebook Page and 'like it'
# Leave a comment below telling me what you'd spend the $100 gift card on

For an additional entry:

# Tweet the competition and leave a separate message advising me you've done this.

I love scouring the catalogue to see what I will put away on layby.......and have even been known to be at Big on the stroke of midnight to get my bargain!! My little one has just really started getting into all the Princess things, so I imagne it will be used on something really girly......maybe even on some of the new 'Brave' merchandise!

  7. This voucher would be great to put towards some boardgames. Pictionary and the good old monopoly. Would be lovely for all of us to sit down as a family and spend some quality time away from the tv and computer.

  11. I love the mid-year big toy sales. Last year I put some toys on lay-by at K-Mart for my nieces and nephews Christmas presents...they lost them...luckily they were replaced.

I put the voucher towards a cubby or swingset, something that both my girls can enjoy together.

  12. I would spend the $100 on Duplo/Lego! My little girl can't get enough of building towers! Elisa x

  15. Ha! More like what wouldn't I spend it on! Walking through the toy aisles is hard enough when I don't have a hundred bucks to spend! I think I'd walk up and down with my kids (who are only nearly 3 and nearly 1) and let them decide. I'm sure I'd end up with all sorts of randomness that would keep us all amused for weeks. Or they'd look at it later and wonder why Mommy let them buy something so totally boring.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I liked the BigW FB page I think I'd put it towards getting the girls a trampoline or a cubby or somthing that will keep them busy outside playing.

  20. A LeapFrog laptop for them to learn,
Them using this I'll have no concern.
They pretend to be bloggers just like mum,
I'd prefer that then the bashing of a drum.
A Nerf N Strike Vulcan is also a must,
My husband would be so happy I think he'd combust.
This would be the perfect start,
To put into my Xmas shopping cart!

  23. Great poem Kell!

I was thinking along similar lines - It would probably be spent on some Nerf or Lego for "the boys"**

** "the boys" is the term used when it should be assumed that I mean my two children (aka "little boys"). However, the husband is included in and the leader of the generic term "the boys" and will no doubt take primary responsibilty for the play with such purchased items, and storage of said items so he can access without his "little boys".

80 mega blocks for my little boy ($40)
10 fisher price shape sorter pieces for my little girl ($13)
7 items for our annual Operation Christmas Child Shoebox ($20)
5 Bonds undies for my husband - his request, not mine!! ($22)

  29. I'd buy my boys the Thomas & Friends - Zip, Zoom & Logging Adventure because they love Thomas and I'd never be able to afford it otherwise. One son is autistic so putting it together and sharing with his brother would envourage his social and fine motor skills, in a really fun way.

  30. I would be SO excited to be able to buy a Jolly Jumper and a Fisher Price Laugh N Learn Table for my baby girl who is 10 weeks old!! After having 2 school aged boys who will come first on our shopping list for their 'have to have' toys, I'm not sure how much of our budget will be left to treat our darling little girl. Thank you :-)

  35. With three lovely girls aged seven and under
They're Barbie obsessed, is it any wonder?!
So I'd have to choose them at least one,
And some arts and crafts for rainy-day fun
With brands like Crayola, Derwent and Play-Doh
They're excellent quality as we all know.
And for the youngest I'd get some Fisher Price blocks
Or perhaps one of the awesome Laugh And Learn Clocks!
Big W's brilliant range and price are guaranteed
To ensure Christmas gift-giving is bound to succeed!

  44. I'd really like to stop the incessant complaining by my kids that they don't own a trampoline. They've been running a successful campaign for several months now of random Q&A's "Mum, when are we getting a trampoline?" and informing other people's children that "no," shaking head like someone's died. "They don't have a trampoline." And I get dark looks from other children like I've let the planet down. Sooo... I'll probably buy some BOOKS for them! Ha, ha!!

  46. I am TOTALLY like this!!! The mid year Christmas lay buys are the BEST!!! Last year I found it a little tricky as I was buying pressies for my unborn little girl - her birthday is July and I too have all her pressies and stuff for her party stashed in the cupboard!!!

I would just LOVE to get a play kitchen for my 2 little ones. It's just something way out of our price range, but a $100 gift card would certainally put it in the ball park!!!

Thanks for running this awesome comp!!!

  47. With $100 to spend, I would have to get something for the entire family - LEGO, we all love it and you can never have too much!
