Creating Birthday Keepsakes

I like to celebrate my children's birthdays each year and after all is said and done, I like nothing more than recording details about them at that age.

I've shared this with you before at previous birthday milestones.

But today I want to share with you Thomas 5th Birthday.  This month he turned 5 and I don't ever want to forget who he is right now.

I create these keepsakes using photoshop.  I have downloaded lots of different fonts to my computer for creativity.

When I take the photo I try and keep a simple background that will show off the font well.

What do you do to remember those quirky little things that sum up who your children are?

Cheers

Mandy.

  5. Awww this is awesome! Such a great idea. I don't do anything like that on their birthday's but I do have a school photo album and I have Hunter write his name (so I can track how his handwriting improves), and then I put answers to questions like his favourite colour, favourite lesson at school, friends, teacher etc.

    1. I like your idea. I might do something like that at the end of the year, you know, 'the year it was' and ask them what things they loved most about school etc. Then file it away.
At our school the kids in grade six have to make their own scrapbook about their years at primary school. so I'll be collecting away for her, ready and waiting.
