As previously mentioned I headed off to Sydney for the weekend to attend Nuffnang Blogopolis 2012.
This was my third blog and I will say I am slowly coming out of my shell.
Why did I love this conference so much?
a/ I learn't a stack, like seriously my mind is boogling with all the things I am thinking about in relation to my blog and the direction I want to take.
b/ I walked away from the conference feeling like I have made some lovely new blogging friends.
What more could I ask for really?
I learn't all sorts of stuff about SEO (search engine optimisation), branding, photography, sourcing content ideas. I have more ideas than time..... such is the life of a mummy blogger I supose!
Mez has become my blogging buddy. I always feel a little more at ease when I have someone I know by my side! Thanks Mez. Her blog is Back in G Town
As soon as I walked in the door I met Lisa from Mummy's Undeserved Blessings.
I knew instantly that she was lovely. And in the small world of
blogging I'd actually stumbled across her blog for the first time in recent
weeks.
I loved running into Denyse from Denyse Whelan Education Specialist. She is the best. At the start of the year when she heard I was coming to Sydney, without a second thought she organised a catch up. I love that sense of friendship that comes with blogging. It was great to see her again.
I met Claudia online in the week leading up to Nuffnang Blogopolis. Seriously, an email that literally said "Mandy meet Claudia, Claudia meet Mandy" lol. We chatted a little via email and then caught up on the day. By the time Claudia headed home after drinks, I felt like she was a friend I'd know for 10+ years. I look forward to keeping in touch. Claudia blogs at Little Cottage Big Life, gorgeous blog, with loads of inspiration.
This photo was taken at drinks..... can you tell. lol. I now have a new phone cover, any excuse to shop! I've been following Melissa's blog Suger Coat It for a while now. She has a vibrant personality on and off her blog. Was really lovely to meet her.
I had a great time at drinks, we initially were going to have a couple of drinks and then head out for dinner. But a snack over the bar did the trick as we were having too much fun, talking blog and life!
It was so nice to meet Kylie from Octavia and Vicky, Erika from Mama's Alphabet Soup, Annaleis from Teapots and Tractors amongst others.
By the time my head hit my pillow I was exhausted. Happy but exhausted!
Cheers
Mandy
