Unfortunately speaking from experience, I understand how important nutrients are leading into and during pregnancy.
My first pregnancy ended when it was identified that my baby suffered from Anencephaly, a disability that no baby can survive. Upon medical advice I ended the pregnancy, grieved and focused on moving forward.
Upon researching the topic to ensure I did everything so it did not happen again, I identified the need to increase my folic acid intake.
It still to this day astounds me, not only at the amount of nutrients you need to maintain optimum health during pregnancy, but the amount of nutrients your growing baby draws from it's mumma.
Karimums have put together this infograph to demonstrate to future mums, just how much we actually need to ensure we are in peak condition when carrying a baby.
Cheers
