Today is National R U OK? Day.
I know that as I have grown up it is becoming more and more obvious that as people attempt to deal with life, sometimes, often, they are not OK.
We are all busy, some of us deal with family turmoil, relationship strain, insecurities, and much much more. And regardless of the fact that what we are all dealing with is different, it can take it's toll.
I know myself personally, I have my ups and downs. But on the whole, am usually OK. I'm pretty good at providing a cover regardless and it has only been over the last couple of years that I have accepted it is OK to not be OK.
More importantly it is OK to let other people know you are not OK. I've learnt that people want to support you and often when you start to talk about what is going on, how you are feeling, you discover you are not alone.
If you don't want to talk to your family or friends, there are still people out there who want to help, who want to listen.
