A Day in the Life ~ With Instagram

I use this blog as a bit of a spur on, to live a more fulfilled life with my children, full of adventure, love, laughter.  And we do, we certainly do.

But amongst all that fun, there is the ordinary.  It's not a bad thing, if you allow it.  I quite like a day at home, knocking off a few chores.  There is satisfaction in an empty laundry basket or a freshly vacuumed room.

On Tuesday I took the time to take a photo each hour to represent my 'ordinary' day.

{Note: Times are approximate}

8am ~ Breakfast time.  Sometimes I sit with my children, other times I have a shake and get on with my business so we can get out the door on time.

9am ~ After Kinder and School drop off I head to the gym for a work out.  I am trying to get back into it.

10am ~ After the gym I drop past our local nick knack shop and pick up some black and white paint for our next Halloween craft.

11am ~ I spend a little time on the blog, behind the scenes organising posts for the coming weeks.

12pm ~ After Kinder pick up, Tom +1 and I head home for lunch.

1pm ~ It's inevitable, I do try to do washing every day, except perhaps the weekends.  A never ending cycle.

2pm ~ Sneak a bit of Pinterest time, simply because.  I like a bit of a browse, it's such a fantastic source of inspiration.

3pm ~ As I'm tidying the house I find this, it's a paper plane Lulu made the night before.  She was desperate to visit our neighbours, who are like Grandparents to our children.  We worry that they pester them too much and on Monday Rodney said 'not today, maybe Wednesday'.  Lulu thought she'd just check in.  Clearly it didn't make it over the fence!

4pm ~ I prepare the donations for the Class Hamper for the School Fete.  Our theme is party.  I up cycled some heart bunting that has been sitting in our party box for a while.  A label and a cello bag, it beats the other items hands down.

5pm ~ Swimming was a success.  Tom and Lulu love there swimming. They'd go everyday if I'd let them.  Now that would be mighty expensive.

6pm ~ Dinner time, Rod is out so left overs for me.  Whipped up some sausages and veggies for the kids. I know it's not very exciting, but it's a meal they are guaranteed to eat.

7pm ~ After going to creche at the gym and heading home with his bestie for an all day play date this little man is absolutely buggered and simply can not keep his eyes open any longer.

8pm ~ Kids are all in bed.  It's been a good day.  Except for the bit when I opened the car door to do Zanders seat belt and he feel out because he was standing up, leaning against the door.  I almost vomited as he banged his head on the concrete.  Oh and then there was the moment I screamed like a psycho because my daughter was running toward a car that was about to reverse out of a car park.  When do kids start to listen to you?  Bourbon anyone?

Some days, my time is cut short and I go to work in the evening, but for the most part, this is an ordinary day in my life.

Have you ever thought about capturing a day in your life?

I'm linking up with Picklebums for Real Life Wednesdays, even though I'm blogging on Thursday about Tuesday! Go figure.

Cheers
