Handmade Initiative :: Imogen's Angels

Introducing Imogen's Angels to our Christmas Handmade Initiative.  I love handmade, but even more inspiring is when you read stories like these.  Where people put their hearts on the line to do something special.

I M O G E N ' S    A N G E L S

First and foremost, tell me about what it is you make and sell?  Tell me about your products?

Imogen’s Angels was born in 2011.

We began selling handmade Christmas ornaments.

Each Christmas ornament is personalised, with your colour selection for their hair, shirt or dress, and then with your name choice.

Recently Imogen’s Angels has grown to include a range of different kid’s craft kits and supplies, to extend our passion for kid’s being involved in crafting. We also have available on our blog a wide assortment of kid’s craft tutorials.

What inspired you to start?

My inspiration for Imogen’s Angels was my little girl Imogen. My Imogen was passionate about craft, she loved all types of craft, but especially loved drawing, gluing and glittering.

My Imogen was diagnosed with a childhood cancer in 2007. While receiving cancer treatment during her 3 year battle, Imogen could be found colouring and gluing. Imogen continued to spend her days wrapped in the wonderment of creating and craft till her passing in May 2010. It is from Imogen’s and my love of craft Imogen’s Angels grew from just an idea to reality.

What do you love most about creating and working for yourself?

For me personally, the making, blogging and crafting helps me remain connected to my Imogen and our love for craft. An extension of that is the joy is being able to encourage, foster and see parents sharing craft with their kids.

With the Personalised Christmas ornaments, I love seeing {or hearing about} the delight when the child or adult receives a little folk that showcases their name and has a resemblance to them.

Imogen’s Angels are located in Perth, Western Australia and for more information about Imogen’s Angels and  where and what we’re up to can be found by checking out their blog, Facebook or twitter pages ~
