Hello Queenscliff

Whilst away we spent a day or so in Queenscliff.

It was just down the road from where we were staying so we could zip in and out as we pleased, which was seriously fabulous.

I love this place, it's so quaint and well, just beautiful.

On the last Sunday of the month they hold a community market.  Love me a good market.

You can find:

  • Fresh Produce
  • Relish and Other Sauces
  • Art Work
  • Handmade
  • Plants
It was here that we were introduced to Twisttos.  Have you heard of a Twistto?

Seriously the best market nibble.  It's potato on a stick (See Lulu above)

It's deep fried and then covered in your choice of seasoning.  Lulu chose salt and vinegar, which I can confirm was a very very good choice.  For more information visit their Facebook.

Want more to do in Queenscliff?

Here are a few ideas:

Take a train ride on the Bellarine Railway

Visit the Fort Queenscliff Museum

Visit the Marine Discovery Centre

Lunch at the delicious Bakery or the Queenscliff Hotel

And don't forget the foreshore for plenty of free fun.

# The bakery has the best Lemon Meringue going around.

There is also a number of great shops to browse in too.

I found these little boats in the Queenscliff Gift Shop which is actually a 'factory outlet'.  They were only $4.50ea.  I also picked up some retro knitting nancy's at $8ea which I thought was great value.

I wanted to buy everything in The Tenby Store

Hesse Street is definitely worth a wander.

If you get the opportunity to visit Queenscliff, I highly recommend it.  I'll certainly be going back, simply and gorgeous is the best way to describe it.

Cheers

Mandy.
