[HLS] WK 38 Check in on Health & Wellbeing

I kind of fell off the face of the earth when it comes to the Simplify your life challenge, but I’m not defeated, because I’m a Capricorn, I need to complete things.  No doubt about it.
Funny really that I feel off the wagon right at the ‘looking after yourself’ piece of the puzzle.  Pretty much says it all doesn’t it.
I will be completely honest, I have been slack, I want to be motivated but I just haven’t been able to find it.  No excuses, it just hasn’t been there.  But I think this week it’s hit me, a little down in the dumps, thinking about my alcohol consumption and reaching that point where you internally shout ‘enough is enough’.
So I’ve committed to going to the gym three times a week, I’m forcing myself back into running mode, as well as joining in some classes.  And I’m trying to eat healthy.
Aim: Lose 5 kilos before Christmas, not drink any alcohol in excess for the rest of the year. Attempt to slow down.
(Note: I know it’s almost the silly season, which makes slowing down really really hard, but it’s about not over committing the remainder of your time.  Making sure I schedule time for us as a family to just be.)

  4. It must be the week for getting back on the SYL wagon! I fell off at the same point you did and have finally run out of reasons (excuses!) why! So back on for me too. First I'm off to read the rest of your catch ups
