Christmas is my favourite day of the year, unlike a birthday celebration, Christmas is about everyone.
Christmas is about organised Chaos.
You know that feeling of being surrounded by lots of people, conversations, laughter, good food and drink. Yeah that.
A month ago I thought I was going to have to work Christmas Eve, which meant we might not have got to my mum’s for Christmas lunch.... devastated.

But now things have taken a turn for the best. I’ve got the night off work and we can actually spend an extended period of time with our family. Christmas is going to be great.
Traditions
KEEP: In our home, I like to be organised, I’m over half way through our Christmas Shopping, and I hope to finish up sometime mid November. I don’t like to go to the shops in December.
KEEP: We like to put the tree up as a family, admiring our decorations as we go.
KEEP: I need to organise a mini photo shoot for the kids, because I like personalised Christmas cards. I know my Grandparents love them and this makes me really happy.
GO: I was really keen to put together a heap of handmade gifts this year, but I am not going to put that pressure on myself. I realise now that coordinating children’s end of year concerts, break up parties and other social occasions is more than enough. I may or may not make some things, time permitting but there are no solid commitments.
Do you have any hot tips for making Christmas footloose and frantic free?
