Tick Tick Tick .....

Tick Tick Tick.....

It's all just time really isn't it.  Until we are too old, until we are too weak, until.........

At the start of this year I did the Food Patrol 90 Challenge and lost 8 kilos.  I was over the moon with this achievement. 

Six months on...... tick, tick, tick.....

I've put almost 5 kilos back on.  Not because I 'dieted' and it was inevitable, but because I dieted and when it ended I no longer maintained anything I had learned about healthy living.

I went back to the vending machine at work.  Drive through on the go.  Everything you shouldn't do.  I was too busy, it was too hard.  Excuses excuses.

But now, I have chest pains, a bit like a stitch.  The pain is bearable but I do believe it is a warning sign.

Enough.

Today I stopped with the excuses and just got on with it.

I'm not going on a diet, a challenge or anything like that.  I'm just going to eat healthy, because I won't live a long life if I keep this up.  I think my insides are screaming at me to stop.

Yesterday I had a shake for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and (at work) a low fat frozen meal for dinner.

I will continue this over the course of the week and next week will reintroduce the gym.

It's time.

  1. I hear you on the need to take better care of ourselves. I have been unwell for what seems like forever and I think I have forgotten what it feels like to be healthy enough to go walking outside, enjoy where I am at and bask in the sunshine. I will join you on your bid to be healthy again, in the meantime, I need a nanna nap.
