If you haven't noticed already we do like a bit of decoration around the house when we celebrate.
Yesterday we celebrated Halloween, we had bunting and crafts that needed to be strategically placed around the home.
We used hooks from the 3M Clear Hooks Range.
Why?
Firstly they are strong, I can use them to hold pretty much everything, from bunting to decorations, to pictures on the wall. They have a variety of different sizes to suit different weight ranges.
I love that they stick on your wall but if you only want to put something up temporarily they are easily removed.
Plus once purchased you can reuse the actual hook over and over again, simply adding a fresh piece of backing tape each time.
And don't be limited to thinking these are only for the wall, they stick to most surfaces, so can be used on things like your front door, a wooden door frame, underneath a bench. Possibilities are endless.
How do they work?
If you're not sure exactly how they work check out this easy tutorial. Tara Dennis not only shows you how to fix and remove them from your wall with ease, she gives you even more ideas on how versatile they are during the festive season.
How much do they cost?
In the clear range you can purchase Mini, Small and Medium Hooks as well as the Utensil and Decorating Clips which are priced from $6.99 (RRP).
I've always been a bit of a fan of the 3M Hooks, but now with the clear range you can stick your hooks wherever you need them without them reducing your creative flair.
After some ideas for Christmas?
# Put a 3M hook on the wall and tie a piece of string from it. Using little wooden pegs, peg your Christmas cards to the string. (You may need to glue a weight to the bottom to help keep it firm.
# Like with my Halloween Ghosts you could stick a couple of hooks to the top of your door frame. Then for Christmas simply dangle Baubles on fishing wire.
# Have you ever thought of creating a photo wall 'History with Santa'? What happens to your annual Santa photo? Perhaps you could display them all on a wall, what a joy it would be to see how much the children have changed from one year to the next. I mean lets face it, no nails, simply remove the hooks at the end of the season. Too easy.

Feeling inspired? Well go on then. Or do you like to wait until the first of December?
Either way, A little Space like Home and 3M want to help you decorate this Christmas.

I would use them to hang up all the Chrissie decorations on the walls instead of the drawing pins my hubby is forever telling me off for!
ReplyDeleteI would use the 3M hooks on the most precious & treasured Christmas decorations - the decorations the children have made over the years.

I'd like to try them on the ceiling to hang some giant Christmas baubles around the room!
ReplyDeleteI would use the 3M hooks to display Gingerbread and Santa garlands that my three beautiful daughters and I make each year. We use cardboard and/or brown paper bags and the girls colour in and decorate the gingerbread faces and clothes, and Santa's, and the hands are all joined together in one big garland. Thanks for the opportunity to display their masterpieces in a great way!
ReplyDeleteIf we survive putting the Christmas lights up without my hubby wanting to throw the evil tangled little bulbs out the window, then I would used the hooks to create some patterns in the lights or add some Christmas craft the kids make to the walls.
ReplyDeleteI would use the hooks to hang icicle lights all over the ceiling in my lounge room, just like the Myer Christmas displays. We had some last year, but I would go all out this year!!
ReplyDeleteI would use the hooks to hang up the crochet christmas garland I am going to make.
ReplyDeleteTo hang up mistletoe strategically where I want to be pashed and to have some cheeky fun making people kiss each other.

I would use the 3M hooks to save my marriage, seriously, my husband can't hang a thing on our wall without adding at least 5 holes, my obsessive need to have everything perfectly lined up and straight doesn't help. Christmas grinds my nerves watching him hang things around our home, these hooks are the saving grave we all need xx
ReplyDeleteHmmm, what to do with all of those Christmas cards? They usually end up in a pile on the dining table. 3M hooks could be used on the wall (no damage when they are taken off) to string tinsel on them for hanging the cards on display.
ReplyDeleteI would use this great 3M hooks range to keep the grandparents propped up on christmas day as they're often liable to fall asleep slumped in their chairs at around 2pm, leaving the children somewhat traumatized and asking questions like 'Are they dead?'
ReplyDeleteMy partner works away and has taken an old projector to camp. He sets it up outside at night so all the guys can have a movie night and uses these hooks to hang a sheet to project onto! He could use whatever he needs from these and I could use the rest for hanging decorations for our "pretend Christmas" (he will be away at work for Christmas, so I'm having a pretend one before he goes so he doesn't miss out!).
ReplyDeleteThis christmas I would really like to hang candy canes up and around the house, so I'd love to use the 3M hooks for that. It's an added bonus that it'll look festive, but the real reason is just so the kidlets can't help themselves to candy canes at 2 am!
ReplyDeleteMy 3M hooks for all my friends cards
ReplyDeletewith all their well wishes and reguards!!!
Put them up high full of pride
3m give me the chance for a smile wide :)
I'd use the hooks to hang up a string which I will peg a row of socks on to form our advent calendar. Fill it with little treats and toys and each day is a fun surprise to help in counting our way towards the big day!!!!! No worries about size issues either, we use baby socks (not used ones, of course!!!) so that they all fit in a neat row along the wall :) It looks great!
ReplyDeleteI'm making glass Christmas decorations this year... Those 3M hooks on the top of the window frames will let them dangle in the sunlight.
ReplyDeleteMy dearly beloved is not a fan of Christmas decorations that clutter up the place so I'd use the 3m products to show him just how easily they can go up and how cleanly and easily they can come down on 12th night.
ReplyDeleteI'd use some to put up ribbon to display our christmas cards (which will keep them off surfaces - surely he'll like that?) and on the ceiling of the dining room I'd hand white, icicle lights to make us feel as if we're somewhere cold & not in Queensland. These would match my fun white light nodding reindeer (which I dont think he's ever forgiven me for buying).
I would hang photos...have always wanted to try these hooks but havent quite been game lol
ReplyDeleteI have a few uses!
ReplyDelete1. Hang hooks on the fridge to hold Christmas art work and more
2. Hang on the windows to put up crystal decorations to catch the sunlight as it comes in.
3. Use them to hang ribbon and pegs to put up Christmas cards
4. Put more hooks behind bedroom doors for towels and dressing gowns when guests stay over Chrissy!
Wow I have too many uses!
I would use it to hang up our Christmas Cards, we get alot from overseas, so its nice to have the different cards on display on the wall instead of standing up on a shelf where they won't get seen.
ReplyDeleteImpressed :)
